SPORTS MASSAGE

HOW CAN I HELP YOU?

Sports Massage is designed to help athletes prepare their bodies for optimal performance, recover after a training session and continue to function well during general training.

Sports Massage emphasises prevention and healing of injuries to the muscles and tendons, working to reduce restrictions of joints and aid soft tissue range of motion.

Sports Massage promotes flexibility, reduces fatigue, helps prevent injuries and prepares the body and mind for optimal performance.

WHAT IS SPORTS MASSAGE?

Sports Massage is a deep soft tissue treatment used to address specific problems. My aim is to use a range of hands-on techniques to facilitate a positive change to the soft tissue layers, this can be from superficial to deep but all methods used are with the primary goal to reduce pain, increase range of motion and restore functional movement.

My focus will be to work on the layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia to restore movement and encourage postural change. Soft tissue work will help to restore correct muscle tone, symmetry and balance with the goal of realigning the soft tissue influence on joint position.

Massage treatments all differ according to the presenting symptoms and clients needs. All treatments combine a clinical assessment with general massage and advanced soft tissue techniques such as:

• Muscle Energy Technique

• Soft Tissue Release

• Fascial Release Technique

• Neuro-Muscular Technique

• Positional Release Technique
