COACHING TESTIMONIALS

ZIANA AZARIAH
My name is Ziana Azariah, I'm an athlete of Sam's. I've been working with him for just over two years. I started in December 2020 and progressed a fair bit under his wing. My first competition I totalled 477.5Kg. My current total is 557.5Kg, and my next competition should be a little more than that as well, so it's been a really good few years. I get on with Sam really well, his coaching style is exactly what I would want from a coach. He knows what I want, how I like to be programmed, the kind of responses I need, really quick feedback and really comprehensive feedback as well.

KATE WATSON
My name is Kate, I've been working with Sam for almost exactly a year now. I wanted to gain confidence with Powerlifting because I'd always seen it and I really enjoyed strength training. As I started with him I saw huge improvements with my movements. The community that Sam has is really good, the group we've got is great, I love coming to the gym as a result of this. So the confidence in my lifts, and the actual technique in my lifts as well as the actual weight I'm doing has massively gone up. I do a weekly 121 with Sam, and I love those 1 to 1 sessions because it give you time to speak to him face to face and see the improvements with him, I get along really well with Sam, I love him and the group, and he's just someone really relatable, he always listens whether it's from a lifting point of view or personal point of view.

DIANE HUNT
When I first started training with Sam, my aim was weight loss and improving my fitness so I could be healthy in my sixties. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that, through him, I would discover a love of weight training, or that less than two years later I would be in a regional Powerlifting competition breaking records! All of this is down to Sam, and his exceptional abilities as a trainer. Through introducing me to varied and, most importantly, fun, training programmes and, through sharing his extensive knowledge of exercise and nutrition, he has helped me exceed my original goals, and turned gym sessions from a chore to a genuine pleasure. I've been impressed by his patient, calm, and encouraging way of training. He's interested in how I'm doing (not just at our weekly sessions) and never fails to acknowledge my successes. If I have a bad week, mentally or physically, he'll listen, and adapt my programme accordingly. All great qualities in a trainer. However, what makes Sam stand out from all the other trainers I've had is his unfailing belief in me, which has in turn given me the confidence and self belief to achieve what two years ago I would have said was impossible.

DECEREEL NOIDA
In the year and a half of being a Dual Strength Coaching athlete, plenty of changes have occurred in my life, yet Sam has successfully accommodated for such and continued to help me produce PB after Pb within the sport of Powerlifting. Not only does Sam aid in your physical performance, he also provides a unique sense of belief for his athletes that, in turn, establishes confidence with oneself. With the two combined, the way DSC truly makes you realise your ceiling is much higher than you believe it to be.Weights that I once thought of as lifetime goals soon became numbers for a deload week, and platforms I once perceived as unapproachable have now been achieved.

MATT KNIGHT
Sam has an eye for detail when it comes to knowing how the body should move. His training programs focus on getting his athletes strong and improving their performance, but it is his balanced approach to programming and the teaching of technique that also allows him to recondition and rehabilitate his athletes by correcting any dysfunction of movement.
